Details and Rumors Surrouning Ford Kuga Launch

Ford’s strategy to have a global product lineup will help streamline operations and cut costs. This product strategy will also yield exciting new models, such as the latest Ford Fiesta which is already on sale in Europe and will soon be available in the States. But this strategy will also yield other models, including the new Kuga crossover.

Ahead of its U.S. launch, the Ford Kuga may be getting a three-door model in addition to the current five-door body style which is on sale in Europe. While it seems a bit unnecessary given that only a limited number of buyers will likely choose the three-door in lieu of having greater accessibility for passengers, one dealer specializing in Ford parts Greeley is excited as it may provide a more affordable alternative for potential car buyers.

While it could provide a cheaper alternative, rumors also suggest that the three-door Ford Kuga may be a performance-oriented model. Smaller and lighter, the Ford Kuga three door will likely have a sportier profile and Saint Paul Ford believes it could be a unique offering within an otherwise crowded segment. The current Kuga is powered by either a 1.6-liter turbo or a 2.0-liter engine. All engines provide less than 200 horsepower.

The Ford Kuga isn’t due in North America until the latter part of 2010, and Ford Service St Cloud expects high-anticipation among consumers when the vehicle is launched. With Ford’s global strategy, expect both the five-door and potential three-door to become available in both the U.S. and Europe. Whether car sales pickup by then is another question, but having a stylish compact crossover such as the Kuga will certainly help.

Stayed tuned for the launch of exciting new Ford models.
