If keeping your pet safe during commutes is an important consideration in your when you’re shopping for a new car, the Ford Edge may certainly be a safe bet. At the New York Auto Show, the Edge was named the Pet Safe Vehicle of the Year by Bark Buckle UP, a pet travel safety organization.
Due to the Ford Edge’s size, cargo space, ease of ingress and egress, and rear ventilation, Bark Buckle UP believes this crossover stands out for satisfying the needs of pet owners and for helping to ensure a pet’s comfort and safety.
“We look ahead with excitement this summer to the arrival of the new 2011 Edge, which adds even more revolutionary technology and class-leading performance,” says Ford Edge marketing manager Brett Burin. “And with a suite of safety features, flexible seating and nearly 70 cubic feet of cargo space, the Ford Edge is perfect for those traveling with pets.”
Although crossover vehicles such as the Edge offer incredible safety for children and convenience for hauling gear, La Puente Ford dealers in Southern California also receive customers looking for the most convenient and safest vehicle for pets. This recognition proves that the Edge simply does it all. Ford Lansdale‘s inventory of crossover have always been a hit with pet owners as well, but the Edge keeps getting more well-rounded, and the updated 2011 model will continue to be a hit among people and pets alike.
Other vehicles that received nods by the organization include Ford’s Transit Connect and Flex, as well as the Lincoln MKT.
