Technology is playing an increasingly large role in new cars. Once reserved for pricey premium brands, technological innovation is increasingly finding its way into nearly every product segment. This trend has been fueled by products like Ford’s Sync infotainment system, which will soon offer ever greater capabilities and features.

Ford will soon be updating the Sync system to include traffic information, directions, and information that can be downloaded from the Sync website. Ford Parts San Diego looks forward to the update to the Sync system as it will deliver refreshed navigation and connectivity that will provide drivers with even more options and data at their fingertips.

The new system, called Sync TDI, will feature connectivity with the driver’s mobile phone, include GPS for real time turn-by-turn directions, and feature a range of infotainment options such as sports, news, and weather. Best of all, says St Paul Used Cars is that many of the system’s features can be controlled via the driver’s voice for improved convenience and safety. The system can be had without a subscription cost within the first 3 years of ownership, which customers at Ford parts St Louis retailer say is a huge added bonus.

Navigation and infotainment systems are increasingly commonplace. Even Suzuki now offers standard navigation systems on their sub-$16,000 SX4 models. This system also includes a range of information including traffic, nearby gas prices, news, events, and weather, much like Ford’s Sync. Another similarity is that both systems are available on models that don’t fetch a premium price tag, which Richmond used car dealers say is important to note as these systems are going to become even more mainstream as consumers continue to demand this technology.
