Ford is a confident company. They realize how strong their American car company is right now. Stock experts like Jim Cramer, on CNBC, have been raving about the company’s leadership. This has resulted in their stock performing very well over the past year. They have been the only domestic automaker that did not have to file for bankruptcy last year. Therefore, they gained a significant amount of market share in 2009. Why is Ford such a hot company again? All you have to do is look at their cars and the accolades they have been receiving lately.
Ford was presented with two of the biggest awards, at this year’s North American International Auto Show. They won the “North American Car” and “Truck of the Year” awards. The Ford Fusion won the car of the year award, while the truck award went to the Ford Transit Connect. Both of these vehicles were applauded for their performance and look.
The Ford Fusion is going for around $27,000. While it is similar to the Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Nissan Altima Hybrid, the Fusion was judged to be a better value for one’s money. If you drive this car in the city, it will give you about 41 miles per gallon of gas. On the highway, you can look forward to 36 miles per gallon of gas.
The Ford Transit Connect has been available in Europe for several years. It will now be available in the United States and the timing could not be better. The Ford F-150’s sales were down this past years, so the Transit Connect will provide car buyers with another option.
