As Ford revamps their entire lineup to make way for a new, seamless global product lineup, two of its latest vehicles, the 2010 Ford Taurus and Ford Focus Coupe, have received important praise – both have earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick rating.
Helping these cars earn the coveted top safety ratings are a range of features that not only improve the safety of the cars themselves, but also help the drivers make better driving decisions according to one Pennsylvania Ford dealer. Among the key safety features that can be found inside the 2010 Ford Taurus is what Ford calls the Side Protection and Cabin Enhancement Architecture which provides greater resistance to side impacts. There’s also the Safety Canopy which includes the numerous airbags the fill the cabin.
In addition to structural enhancements and other features, the latest Ford Taurus is not without unique safety technology. This includes adaptive cruise control to ensure the Taurus maintains a safe distances from vehicles ahead. The Taurus can also be had with the popular MyKey system, which Ford Financing Kansas City says provides a variety of pre-set restrictions and/or warnings that give parents ample control when their teen drivers are at the wheel.
The latest Ford Focus is also available with many of these same safety features. This summer, the Focus will also be getting MyKey technology, and the Focus is already available with electronic stability control, a Personal Safety System which analyzes crash conditions and coordinates the deployment of safety systems, and last but not least the Focus can be had with Ford’s renowned Sync infotainment system which makes hands-free driving extremely easy.
With these and other safety innovations, Ford is making substantial improvements to its lineup beyond aesthetic updates observes Ford Service Collegeville. With industry leading safety systems and technologies, Ford should be able to win back the trust of family car buyers yet again.
