Ford Fusion Image
Aside from ample power offered by this sedan, the Ford Fusion also delivers in terms of a smooth ride. Ford has done an excellent job in erasing cabin noise, vibrations, and other intrusions that are common in other sedans within this segment. Handling is by no means exciting, but it’s fairly strong control in corners and through tight parking lots. In addition, Ford’s AdvanceTrac electronic stability control system helps add peace of mind and reinforces grip when you need it. This system is one of the few safety features the Fusion has available when compared with the likes of the Toyota Camry and other vehicles.
Just like with other vehicles in the Ford lineup, the Fusion is also available with the popular Sync infotainment system that was co-developed with the Microsoft. The system provides hands free telecommunications, Bluetooth, and MP3 player compatibility among other features. More infotainment systems are being offered these days, including GM’s OnStar system that competes head-to-head with the Sync.
Inside, passengers in the Ford Fusion will find the interior comfortable, but not particularly luxurious by any stretch. The build quality and fit-and-finish is decent, although Japanese competitors are typically a better when it comes to areas around the dash, instrument panels, and door panels. Seating in the Fusion is top-notch with plenty of comfort and support. Passengers will also find plenty of room, even for taller passengers.
Simplicity is perhaps the best word to describe the Fusion’s interior design. Although most buyers will find that it’s acceptable, few buyers are likely to find the interior especially exciting according to Ford dealers Ashland. The Sync system provides a bit of pizazz to an otherwise lackluster interior environment, offering helpful data and entertainment through voice commands or just a couple clicks.
Although Ford has made plenty of tweaks and has done some fine tuning to the Fusion since its inception, it may still have a ways to go. But despite necessary updates here and there, the Fusion does a commendable job in almost every area, with plenty of power, reasonable pricing, and the added benefits of the Sync system.
